What is Turbulence Training?

Turbulence Training is a fat loss routine designed by Craig Ballantyne, a certified strength and conditioning coach who writes for popular magazines like Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, and even in Oxygen and Shape magazines. According to Craig, Turbulence Training is the combination of resistance training and interval training required to boost metabolism so that your body can effectively burn calories and fat between workouts. In fact, Jillian Michaels recently endorsed the Turbulence Training routine on one of the Biggest Loser episodes.

This program promises fast fat loss results for men and women who don’t have a lot of time to devote to exercise. Furthermore, the workouts promise maximum results with only 3 workouts per week. A pretty bold statement I must admit. So lets take a closer look at his claim and see how the results really measure up.

What Makes Turbulence Training so Effective

Craig Ballantyne is a strength and conditioning coach in Toronto, a contributing author to Men`s Health magazine, and a member of the Training Advisory Board for Maximum Fitness and Oxygen magazines. He is a world-renowned expert in fat loss training with a pretty impressive research background. He completed a master`s of science degree in Exercise Physiology from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It was during his research studies on sports supplements that he developed Turbulence Training, a culmination of his practical training experience and research studies, to come up with the fastest fat loss workouts available.

He designed a series of short yet super intense workout sessions to help the busiest of people get in the best shape of their lives. After all, many of us just don`t have the time to devote 2 or 3 hours in the gym every day. With Turbulence Training you are only required to do 3 workouts per week, with each workout taking no more than 45 minutes. Broken down, that involves 25 minutes of strength training followed by 20 minutes of Interval Training.

Most workout enthusiasts will wonder how 25 minutes is enough to build muscle and burn fat at the same time, however, the special formula is the superset training which combines both an upper body exercise with a lower body exercise in each set. Each superset involves two exercises performed one after the other followed by a short rest period. Craig has chosen the most effective exercises, requiring optimal range of motion. This leads to a higher calorie burn during the workout and also boosts your metabolism to burn fat for over 24 to 48 hours!

In the Turbulence Training manual, you will find over 7 workout routines, with a detailed explanation of each exercise, complete with photos. In order to challenge your body and keep your metabolism boosted, you will need to change your workouts every 3-4 weeks, since according to Craig, the more experienced you get with the exercises, the faster your body adapts to the workouts. In addition to the complete Turbulence Training workouts for beginner, immediate and advanced levels, you receive an ebook on Nutrition Guidelines, a Turbulence Training MP3 audio where Craig explains the program, along with numerous other bonuses, from TT For Muscle, The Busy Dad`s Workout, and much more. You also receive a 3 month membership to the TTmembers.com membership site where you can meet other people who are following TT routines to lose fat, as well as receiving personal support from Craig Ballantyne himself.
